We have invested in a TN POST-approved training curriculum through EF Combatives (EFC). This course is designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to raise the standard of combatives, defensive tactics, and use of force situations. This curriculum includes a 26-week course that covers the Principles of Defensive Tactics, Use of Force Documentation, Skill Building, Control and Apprehension for Single Officer Encounters, Single Officer Takedowns, Multiple Officer Apprehension and SOP Consideration and Communication, Conditions of Space and Priority of Life, Weapon Retention and Defense, Weapons Based Entanglements, Daily Debriefs, Pressure Testing Scenarios, and various other blocks of instruction.
