Wing Chun Kung Fu is a southern style of Chinese Kung Fu developed in the 1700s and popularized by the martial arts actor Bruce Lee. The system focuses on techniques that are simple to learn and apply, efficient in their application, and move directly to the problem or target. Like most traditional kung fu arts, Wing Chun is taught through three empty hand forms, a wooden dummy form, and two weapons forms. Wing Chun is best used as a close combat system allowing the practitioner to close distance while intercepting or redirecting attacks from their opponent.
